Setia Haruman Technology Sdn Bhd (SHTech) is a licensed Application Service Provider (ASP) by the Malaysian Commission for Multimedia and Communication (MCMC) since 2004 to be an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Cyberjaya and nationwide.

Operating under the brand City Broadband, it quickly emerged as the leading broadband service provider in Cyberjaya that serves corporate, enterprise and residential subscribers. City Broadband utilizes Ethernet technology via fibre optic carrier that provides high speed, highly redundant, dedicated or shared “symmetrical” broadband access services.

City Broadband network deploys Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for upstream redundancy, which is a routing protocol that enables us to fortify City Broadband network for redundancy that will benefit City Broadband customers with high service reliability.

City Broadband current bandwidth bank is 90Mbps from two (2) Malaysia’s Tier-1 Carrier via BGP and is delivered to the customers with relatively low contention ratio. 

 

The high performance of City Broadband has garnered Top 10 spots among the ISPs in Malaysia for both “download” and “upload” speed tests. The tests also show that City Broadband delivers Very Good (Grade B) connection, the connection that should work well for any Internet application particularly very good for streaming media, voice, video communications, and online gaming.

 

In line with the Government’s aspiration to see more broadband services throughout the country, City Broadband has expanded its services to Bangsar South City, Kuala Lumpur since 2009 with a dedicated Metro-E fiberoptic link to our gateway in Cyberjaya.
